- People concerned about compounded medication quality
- Patients seeking manufacturer-backed support and reminders
- Those looking for the lowest price on brand-name GLP-1s
Medicare Coverage Update
July 1, 2026: Medicare Part D beneficiaries expected to gain GLP-1 access through the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge demonstration at a maximum $50/month copay. Wegovy and Ozempic are both included alongside Mounjaro, Rybelsus, and the KwikPen formulation of Zepbound. On April 21, 2026 CMS confirmed the Bridge program will be extended through 2027 instead of transitioning into the BALANCE Model in Medicare Part D as originally planned. The BALANCE Model is launching for state Medicaid agencies in May 2026.
The Bottom Line
NovoCare offers the full Novo Nordisk lineup direct-to-patient: Wegovy pill (from $199/mo), Wegovy injection (from $199/mo intro through June 30, 2026, then $349), the new Wegovy HD 7.2mg ($399/mo), and Ozempic. Combined with the upcoming Medicare Bridge program in July, brand-name GLP-1s are more accessible than they’ve ever been.
